The Wintendo Containment System is the debut system of the Nintendo mockery, Wintendo. An obvious pastiche of the Nintendo Entertainment System, the folks at the company HQ sought for a gimmick to put them on the map far and wide. Mr. Wintendo sailed from the Atlantic to the Pacific in a search for the coolest gimmick ever, and considering how things like the SEGA Bomb System exist, that's a high bar to set. Eventually, their ship sunk into a wormhole leading right into Dimension 666. The crew were not at all freaked out by the horrors in that locale, and they eventually found a demonic entity that defies explanation. With help from the Ghostbusters, they sealed it into a steel box, and then managed to get assistance from their friendly neighborhood demon breeder to mass produce Wintendo Containment Systems, systematically.
In order to play a shame on the console, you must put its disc into the slot, at which point the demon will eat it and pass its who-now onto the whats-it. Basically, thanks to whatever happens inside the console, the shame gets played in the end. While the demon does save data, it can only do so with three shames, it can't back up data, and it thinks SD Cards taste foul. It also does not give back the shames it eats, so you have to buy the shame again if you want to continue playing. Feeding it non-compatible shames just does nothing. The Wintendo Containment System is currently banned everywhere but Soviet Russia due to the fact that it is actually dangerous. Aside from the fact that breaking the system would release the eldritch revenant within and cause it to consume the UnWorld, the beast is also very heavy, and dropping the console onto your foot can break it.
This console was succeeded by the Snooper Wintendo Containment System which has the added bonus of watching you in your sleep and saying the word, "Pingas" a bunch.
