There are some people on UnAnything, mostly new users, who don’t read the rules, and create low-quality pages, pages that don’t fit into canon, and ridiculously-overpowered characters. I don’t think that the current strategy of “assume every new user is TheVeryStrangeOne” will work for much longer. (Blake Ashton is an entirely different LTA vandal/sockpuppeteer, and you still mistook an account that was quite obviously him for Strange.)
I have an alternative suggestion: create a new wiki for these people to test out editing and create cruddy OCs to their heart’s content. It would be called “UnSanity” - a portmanteau of “UnAnything” and “insanity”.
UnSanity would basically be UnAnything’s “little sister”, with lower standards and less rules. However, it wouldn’t be a total anarchy. UnSanity’s (initial) rules would be simple:
- Don’t be a pedo.
- Don’t be a Nazi.
- Don’t violate the Fandom Terms of Use.
- Other than that, do anything you want.
UnAnything articles would be canon to UnSanity, but UnSanity articles would not be canon to UnAnything. Think of it as like what Disney did to the Expanded Universe, but from the start.
UnSanity would also be a place to post content that doesn’t really fit in any other wiki, provided that the rules are followed.
