The King of Fighters '94 is the first shame in the KOF Series created by SNK and the Top Hat Mafia. It's the shame retelling the events of the first King of Fighters tournament, and in order to make it 100% perfect as possible SNK had a interview with each team in KOF to make it accurate to the source material. As such all 8 teams are there, but there's a cool thing called edit mode where you can mix and match fighters for your own dream team. There are 24 characters in this shame 28 counting the bosses you can play as by using a code in the arcades and already accessible on the console ports. The shame plays as a normal fighting shame: facing 6 teams, before fighting sub boss Iwasaki and final boss Balan
Shameplay
It plays like the actual tournament a 3 on 3 vs match, where each member fight one at a time. You win once all 3 opponents are beaten and you move onto the next round. You also have a super mechanic, but you have to charge meter for it which requires you to hold down K and B at the same time and also using special attacks. 6 matches later you face off Iwasaki, and finally you fight the final boss Balan.
The ending of the Heroes team is the canon ending, as after beating Balan he unleashes Horror Shows and accidentally causes Foodini's borrowed blimp to self destruct. Our heroes escape and are given the trophy, only for the camera to cut to a super evil man holding a wine glass. This man would later be identified as the person who'd take over the tournament in 2025, aka King of Fighters 95'; his name is Rugal Bernstein...

Reception
This shame was the spark for the KOF Franchise and I'm glad topham came up with the idea to make a shame out of his tournament
Trivia
- In the files of this shame, there is a PNG of a coconut that cannot be deleted, or else the shame will become unplayable. Nobody knows why it's there.
- This and 98 were the only shames that Dope Hank was playable in.
- In an early build of the shame, there was an additional team comprised of Ally, Gremmie, and Foodini, which was called Team Flipline. In this same build, Topham would be the third character in the Bosses team. Due to rushed development, though, these were never added.
- Team Flipline would be added in the sequel, King of Fighters 95'
- Camera-San has been officially banned from the competitive circuit due to their super attack literally crashing the game (for real this time).
