The Straw Hat Pirates are a Japanese pirate crew/group that also star in the pirate anime One Piece. They are famous for all of the things they did, like how Luffy fought the Fleet Admiral Buster Baxter and the whole UnPolice one time.
Luffy formed the group by speedrunning getting crew members like Zoro, then Nami, then Usopp, and etc.

- Luffy - captain
- Zoro - right-hand man of Luffy, and the swordsman of the ship. hes also the 1st member on the ship
- Nami - the navigator of the ship. She's the 2nd member on the ship.
- Usopp - he's the sniper of the ship. 3rd member on the ship
- Sanji - he's the cook of the ship. 4th member on the ship
- Chopper - the doctor of the ship. Since he's so cute, others call him the ship's pet. He's the 5th member of the ship.
- Robin - the archaeologist of the ship. She's the 6th member of the ship
- Franky - the shipwright and cyborg of the ship. He's the 7th member of the ship.
- Brook - the musician and skeleton of the ship. He's the 8th member of the ship.
- Jimbei - he's the helmsman of the ship. He's the 9th member of the ship.

History[]
It all started with Luffy sailing out to sea and leaving his hometown in order to pursue his dream of becoming the King of the Pirates. Before this, he ate a special Wumpa Fruit that turned him into a rubber man and gave him rubber powers, so he can stretch his body pretty far, and it has a pretty good use for fighting.
Shortly after, Luffy got stuck in a whirlpool so he hid and took shelter in a barrel. The barrel then ended up in some random place in the ocean, and lucky for him, a random ship picked up that barrel, thinking it was alcohol, so Luffy miraculously survived. The ship belonged to some big ugly fat lady and she didn’t know Luffy was inside the ship yet. Luffy was talking to some little pink-haired kid named Coby that was hostage on the ship. Luffy rescued that kid and beat up all of the crew members and the big fat ugly lady named Alvida who owned the ship. Coby had told Luffy that he dreams of being a Marine Navy Admiral so Luffy encouraged him to follow his dreams. However, they both knew that they would have to fight one day, but it would be in the distant future. Luffy was dropped off at some random island, and started to explore it.
Luffy, being bored, decided to look over a fence. He saw a green-haired but cool looking guy with swords on the ground and tied up on a cross. He was all bloody and looked like he was about to die on that cross. Luffy decided to talk to him and found out that his name is Zoro and Evil Mario is holding him captive because he’s a bounty hunter, and tried to kill Evil Mario.
Luffy told him that he’ll untie him and rescue him only if he joins Luffy’s pirate crew, which at the time only had 1 member, and that was Luffy. He wanted him in his crew because while talking to him, Zoro said that he wants to be and will become the best swordsman in the world. Zoro agreed, and they both fought against Evil Mario and beat him up and left.
Nami witnessed all of this in the background, and wondered what these stupid guys were doing, so she followed them. She followed them and then she got captured by Buggy the Clown, because he decided he wants a wife. He tied her up with rope and threw her in the trunk of his car. Luffy and Zoro saw this chauvinist pig (basically a friggin pervert) and decided to kick Buggy's ass and save Nami from her horrible fate. Luffy charged towards Buggy and tackled him, and then gave him a devastating punch to the face.
He then picked up Nami and ran, but Buggy threw a dagger at Luffy's leg, stabbing right through the flesh causing him to trip and fall down a flight with Nami still in his arms. Nami was heavily bruised and Luffy was very bloody, screaming due to the excruciating pain of the dagger in his leg and having fell down a flight of stairs down to the village. Zoro saw this and decided to slice Buggy's legs off. He was dumbfounded, confused, and bamboozled when he sliced Buggy apart with his swords but then he just grabbed his sliced off body parts and put them back together. It was then revealed that Buggy ate the Chop Chop fruit, a Devil Fruit which allows your body parts to be diced or chopped or split, and they just fly back to his body and they reassemble themselves. Zoro got super pissed and attempted to chop off his head, and it came right back. Zoro continued to slice and dice him, but taking critical hits in the process. The ropes on Nami loosened up when they fell down the stairs and she was able to untie herself.
She felt compelled to run, but didn't. She showed the kindness that they showed to her. She helped Luffy up the stairs while Zoro was wasting Buggy's time. Up the stairs, Nami gave Luffy a healing Mushroom to help him and he felt better.
