It's hip to be square!
A square, in geometry, is a quadrilateral that is NOT a triangle or circle, in which all angles are 90 degrees, all sides are equal, and all sides and corners are four. Unlike triangles, but like circles, squares do not vary in species, as it is against the law for shapes that lack four sides and corners not of equal length to be classified as squares. A square is also an implement that can often be utilized to note down ninety-degree angles, even though the tool itself looks nowhere even close to an actual square. The tool for all we know, was likely innovated by an 'architect' who in fact had the intellectual capacity of a brick.
History[]
Squares were first invented by famous mathematician Twimblius McTwingledingle when he became determined to tesselate two triangles and amalgamate them into one shape, and thus the square was invented. He then named it a 'square' after the ancient Dig-It 'dig-it', which, contradictorily, means 'circle' in the language.
Twimblius' rivals, all of whom were also in the geometric industry caught up to this discovery several weeks after the square's unearthing and determined themselves to elongate the square, thus turning it into what Twimblius, laughing at their puny thesis, would supposedly dub a 'wreck' and a 'tangle'. His rivals, despite being offended, became satisfied with Twimblius' attempted abusive remark as the term evolved into what we know now as a 'rectangle' over time.
