I can't come up with a good caption????
Search for the Lost Chord is the 14th episode of Season 9 in UnAnything: The Series (they came so far 😭). This episode is about Randy Warthog going on some rip-roaring quest thing in order to find a musical chord that is so pleasant it can automatically make any song good, regardless of anything else in it. Who does he go on the adventure with, the fellow members of The Residents? Other members of the Masters of Power? Indiana Jones? Nope. He goes with Alt 1.0 because the directors are bigger stoops than Patrick Star! Also Justin Beaver is a villain because I think that's how it goes.

Plot[]
The episode begins in the M.O.P Fraternity Home, where Randy Warthog is mucking around with a guitar, trying to do what we think is a song. As he puts together this song, "The Hint of Surplus", Randy ultimately decides that somethng's missng. He tries various different instruments, some conventional, others incredibly bizarre, even the didgeridoo was attempted! Randy tries to rearrange the melody, the lyrics and overall change everything about his song. He simply cannot find what to do with it. Even when talking to Tyrone about it he just can't decide what's up. Randy decides to go to the local library and checks out a tome about music theory and history in order to see how he can improve it. Day and night, Randy Randolph Rose reads through the book and eventually sees interest in page 4,867. That page mentions a, "lost chord" that is irresistable that it can make any song sound good. Yep, any song... any song. Randy decides to go out and see where it can be, and how he could get his hands on it.
Randy drives down in his car, he hopes of recruiting Megurine Luka to join his treasure hunt because since that one episode they have been on nicer terms. However, he took a wrong turn at UnAmerica's Only Wild Wood Cyad™ and found himself in Nice Teletubbyland. Even he, a known good person, is disgusted by how boringly nice The Good Teletubbies are. In a state of confusion, Randy eventually finds himself at a clearing of a small patch of trees. This is where he finds Alt 1.0 picking berries for some sort of Real Pie, and although he is initially turned off by her overbearing niceness, they eventually find something to bond over: they both like music. Randy explains what he wants to do, and Alt 1.0 (in typical Alt 1.0 fashion) offers to help him with this venue. Randy accepts, so they look into how they can find this legendary chord. As they make off, however, Justin Beaver, who was hiding in a tree canopy, pops out. He had overheard their conversation and decides that he must take advantage of this scenario.

Promo for the episode.
Randy and Alt 1.0 looked into that tome, and it apparently said the lost chord's sheet music is hidden behind various trials and tribulations across the world. Reportedly, the first step is to go to a vineyard in the Mediterranean. Unfortunately, Randy's car accidentally rolls off a cliff and crashes into a gorge. Because of this, Randy calls an Uber driver, at which point a massive pirate ship plows right through the land. Kaptain Skurvy comes out and offers then a free ride across the seas. However, Alt 1.0 despises Kaptain Skurvy for his odd friendship with the second Alt model, so she throws him into the gorge with Randy's car. Less than immediately after, a plane comes in for a landing and Joe Bigman steps out. Randy and Alt 1.0 beg to take them to the Mediterranean so he does. Justin stows away on the plane against their knowledge. Unfortunately, Joe Bigman mistakes a pimple on his arm for a mosquito bite, so he freaks out and crashes the plane in the Mushroom Kingdom. Luckily, Randy and Alt 1.0 find themselves right in front of a wine brewery.
After ordering a wine bottle, they get permission to go back into their vineyard by the owner of the brewery. Randy accidentally bumps his foot on a chest that is just half buried in the ground. Excited, the two take it out of the ground and see it is marked with a musical note. Before it can be opened, however, Justin Beaver appears and swipes it out of their hands. A fight ensues that ends with them throwing Justin Beaver into a stack of wine barrels, knocking them onto him. Randy and Alt 1.0 open the chest, and see it has a conspicuously shaped piece of obsidian in it. There are also notes about how the next step is to go to an island in the Indo-Pacific region. At this point, Kaptain Skurvy reappears, and Alt 1.0 reluctantly accepts his offer. Also Justin Beaver stows away again because crap.
Randy and Alt 1.0 make it to the island and find a temple within the vicinity of its volcano. The trek through it is tough, being littered with traps, lava and the like. Never to be cowards, however, Randy and Alt 1.0 persist. They make it to a door in the temple leading to the next clue, only for Justin Beaver to return! Another battle goes on, and Justin is pushed into a stream of lava by Randy. Then, Randy examines the door and sees a hole in it that seems to require a key. As it turns out, the obsidian piece is the key! Unfortunately, Randy drops it and it shatters. Heartbroken, Randy takes out the bottle of wine from earlier and drinks his sorrow away. However, Alt 1.0 realises that the cork is perfectly shaped to fit in the hole. Sure enough, the door opens! Randy and Alt 1.0 find another chest, which says the lost chord is hidden in something that, "has no beginning, middle or end, but runs through every continent".
Logically, this leads to them storming Uncle Grandpa's RV and stealing his fish and noodle sandwich, and sure enough, the sheet music for the lost chord is in it! The two merrily go back to the M.O.P Fraternity Home, only for Justin Beaver to appear once again. Another fight ensues, but Justin is destined to bring forth TOTAL BEAVER DAM-NATION onto Randy and Alt 1.0. Just as it seems like hope is lost, however, Juice Wrld, Frank Sinatra, James Hetfield, and Michael Jackson appear and beat Justin Beaver up. Randy and Alt 1.0 thank them for showing up without build-up and then go their way. Using the lost chord, Randy finally adds what The Hint of Surplus lacked. He even lets Alt 1.0 sing on it. It was the most hectic experience in her life.
Later that week, the two discover that the song nearly topped everything else in the UnUniverse Hot 100, only to see it that fell short of the top spot and was beaten by, "Dancing, Walking, Rearranging Furniture" by Carter Pewterschmidt. Upon seeing so, Randy mournfully walks into a coffin and tips it into an open grave, and Alt 1.0 explodes.
