Scotchiomali Thaddäus Mauzi XXV, or just called Scotch, is Raichu's loyal pet Meowth, who also has a bit of a wild side. He was introduced well after the Ralph arc, and was generally loved, due to his coloring and absolute cuteness. Like Raichu and Wakko, he comes from a faraway realm.
History[]
Scotch's origin is somewhat unclear. Rumors say that he was a Team Rocket creation gone rogue, while others say that he was a creation by Professor Oak, while an unofficial book says that he was genetically created from a lab with a simple goal: make a Meowth that can learn any move and escaped the lab in 1994, while some official sources say that he was from Greek origin, as said by his long legacy and 24 other relatives, all of which were deceased. However we do know what time Scotch met Raichu: February 27, 2001. There was some rumor about Scotch's true origin, and it has been a mystery ever since. Since then, Scotch has been a welcome addition to the Main 3.

Scotch may be a Meowth, but his moveset is expanded. His most infamous move is Fire Blast, however he can also be using Heal Pulse, Ice Beam, and even on some occasions, moves that Pokemon can't even learn.

Trivia[]
- Scotch was originally just a normal Meowth, but he was given his unique color by accident. His updated moveset was added as well.
- Scotch's middle name, Thaddäus, roughly translates to Squidward, implying some hidden connection between Scotch and Squidward's individual family trees. This was debunked in 2004.
- Additionally, his last name, Mauzi, is just Meowth in German.
- Scotch has the thousand year purr.
- Scotch, along with Raichu and Wakko, enjoys the delicious cheese pizza from Peppino's Pizza.
- Despite his name, he is not scottish.
