Nightmare Critters is a completely awesome rival TV show to Smiling Critters created by some ex-members of CatNap's cult of personality and produced by the Goths (who think the Critters are, for the most part, terrible people, er, creatures). It has episodes available on Newgrounds, YouTube, and several random public access channels. Instead of brainwashing kids into getting killed by monsters, this show encourages them to be cool punks who embrace their angst. They also have a banger theme song that can be listened to on this page!

- Baba Chops: An emo sheep who's often considered the leader of the gang. She embodies stereotypical teenaged angst.
- Icky Licky: A poisonous frog who is terrible at sports, instead making zines and distributing them at the library. He's more punk than emo. He's also Baba's boyfriend.
- Rabie Baby: An albino bat who runs one of the few cool Tumblr blogs, known as the Bat Cave (not to be confused with the Fatcave).
- Allister Gator: A gangster alligator from New York City who may be related to King K. Rool. He's kind of the dad of the group.
- Simon Smoke: Not to be confused with Simon Seville, he's a red dragon who is obsessed with making UnDollars via his many schemes. He's kind of like Scrooge McDuck if he was cooler.
- Poe: A goth crow who loves grungy weather and listens to Kurt Cobain. Outside the show, he's friends with Gremmie and Kickin (despite being part of their rivals), and is also their weed dealer. He's also not a Teletubby with a comically similar name.
- Touille: A trash rodent who loves collecting weird cool things he finds in the dumpster. He is a writer for Rabie's blog whenever she has to do something that day.
- Maggie Mako: A blue shark with an eating disorder because of CatNap calling her a "fat frick". She's often away doing therapy, but sometimes shows up for an episode or two.

- What're You In For?: The stories of how everyone was kicked out by CatNap and what they did to tick him off, told in the form of a series of campfire tales.
- Tweakmageddon: Allister finds Hoppy Hopscotch and Mud trying to steal the catalytic converter out of his getaway car.
- Renegades of Punk: Icky and Baba go on a date at a nightclub, where they meet a few of the Goths.
- The Grifters: Simon Smoke and Allister Gator try selling counterfeit versions of The Golden Monkey at a mall.
- POE THAT WASN'T WEED: Maggie Mako and Touille trip on Datura after Poe mistakenly makes "pot" brownies out of it.
- TBH Time: A bunch of TBH Creatures start showing up at Baba's house, and the others try to get rid of them.
