The Neo Geo with a copy of bootleg Kof 95
The Neo Geo P.I.N.G.A.S., but everyone just calls it the Neo Geo is a shaming console that was produced by SNK in the 1990s, and is known as the best shame system on the Retro planet. It was made to rival the Nintendo UnEntertainment System and did so by being one of the few shaming systems in the '90s that were actually good. The NEO Suit is named after the Neo Geo; it's that good.
From humble beginnings[]
In the great old days of the '90s, arcades were very easy to find, like a Spametti article, but they were very expensive, and you could only hold one shame in them. But then a hero arrived to save them: SNK created a red box, but not just any ordinary red box—it was called the NEO GEO P.I.N.G.A.S., and it was able to hold cartridges, making it easier to put new shames in. As such, the NEO GEO PINGAS gained a lot of popularity in war-torn South America, and this is the reason why half of SNK's audience is from Mexico, Peru, and East Brazil. Fast forward a few months later, and the higher-ups at SNK were brainstorming new ideas for their next console. Then, sigma master Mister Chang appeared and simply told them to make a home console for all the Children who didn’t want to go to arcades, and also to start a rivalry with Nintendo. Thus, the NEO GEO AVS was born.
TO THE AVS[]
The AVS was known for its 4-button controller because the shames were 4 buttons only, along with the variety of shames that were on the PINGAS with the exact same graphics as the arcade machines. The shames came in cartridges that you put in the top of the machine. Despite the 500 UnDollar price, the console sold so many units that special versions of the AVS were made. One of these was the special gold copy, which was given to a few people, one of whom was Balalaika. There was also a KOF version of the Neo Geo that was literally full of KOF stickers on the interior and came with a KOF collection cartridge. Soon after discovering that KOF was outselling Mario Mart, Nintendo sent their ninjas to assassinate the head of SNK, but it was stopped by SNK's mercenary company. Soon after, the AVS ruled the '90s for a long time with the KOF series of shames.
