Monkeys are heroic creatures known for being super cute. They were invented by the Nintendo DS game Rhythm Heaven. They like to swing on trees and eat bananas. But when they get mad, they can RIP YOUR FACE OFF and kill you, so don't make a monkey mad.
In the Rhythm Heaven Multiverse, monkeys have seen odd rates of asexual reproduction, making copies of themselves like printers - seemingly not for world domination like you'd think, but for....music? When opening their mouth, you can hear thousands on thousands of Nintendo soundfonts, and if you lean in too close it can immediately paralyze you. Contrary to what you'd think from their dumbed down portrayal in the Rhythm Heaven series, those bitches are incredibly powerful.
Monkeys have been observed and isolated in a lab by the Sick Beats Doctor. They're made of not monkey fibres, but of thousands of bacteria, fighting for the shape of a monkey. The bacteria was raised on consumerism and injected with pure dopamine, creating a more stable form. Their creator, Tsunku (some famous guy) is known infamously in the rhythm lands.
Controversy has arose around the monkey in Rhythm Heaven. Their creator (Tsunku, some famous guy in japan) is infamous. While monkeys are incredibly strong and a hardy weapon against sadness, they can also kill a man instantly. The most hardened monkey is surprisingly the Wrestler, comprised of 5 monkeys taking up a human bodysuit. Without the bodysuit on, the monkeys have killed about 10 of the most powerful men on the universe and have pissed on Hitler's dead body so powerfully half of his corpse is now soaking with piss.
The Wrestler has been used time and time again as an example of the evil a monkey can produce, but their round dopamine filled bodies are unable to cause harm to good people. After all, the Wrestler system was the assassin of Osama Bin Laden and at least one Kim family member. Their first purpose was simply to hypnotize the average Rhythm Heaven fan into enjoying the game, but even that's debated on its consentuality.
Monkeys know their money-loving past well, and inbuilt into their society is the want not to go back to consumerism, to return to the human monkey and evolve in their ways. Many peace truces have been made between humans and monkeys. If the human the monkey made a deal with is evil, the monkey unconsciously splits back into bacteria, eats the human, and absorbs its fat into a larger monkey. This is why Rhythm Tengoku monkeys are so large and lanky - they've made bad deals with money-loving circus performers that wanted their monkey powers for assassination or concerning favors. (The monkeys are so round and simple they can shapeshift into hot babes in your area.)
