Megamind is an underrated 2010 animated film produced by NightmareWorks Animation. It sucks. A even crappier sequel, Megamind Vs. Wegawind, was being released in 2024 SO BAD that they never actually released it.
Plot[]
On N. Sanity Island, Neo Cortex and Crash Bandicoot develop a rivalry since their childhood. Neo proceeds to become a super-villain as Crash is gradually being seen as a hero in people's eyes.
Many years passed and a museum is even built to honor Crash. Jaundiced, Neo kidnaps Tawna into an observatory where he has set a trap for Crash for his attempt to save her. The plan succeeded, and Crash is seemingly defeated. Neo then extracts Crash's DNA, and plans to develop a new rivalry with someone else by injecting Crash's DNA into them. He then struggles to choose the new rival until he comes across Hal and accidentally injects Crash's DNA into him.
Neo later decides to turn into a blue-skinned alter-ego known as "Megamind" and train Hal into a superhero, in which Hal takes on the name "Toucan", but his dumbness makes him misspell the name as "Tighten". Snatching the opportunity, Hal sets off to impress Tawna with his new powers, only to be rejected by her. Therefore Hal changed his mind and chooses to become a super-villain instead. Neo/Megamind, who is supposed to train Hal into a superhero, reforms himself into a superhero since a hero-villain rivalry makes more sense.
While Hal is causing chaos all over N. Sanity Island, Neo/Megamind finds out that his old rival, Crash, is still alive. Neo/Megamind then convinces Crash to join him to save N. Sanity Island from Hal, but Crash rejects as he decides to become a musician. Depressed, Neo/Megamind falls into a deep sleep. This is not until Hal tells him to wake up. Neo/Megamind then launches Hal up to Earth's upper atmosphere. Hal then lands in Pac-Land, where he is turned into a slave to assist the locals to hunt.
After the incident, the Crash Bandicoot Museum is being revamped into the brand new Megamind Museum, with the whole N. Sanity Island gathering together and cheer for their new hero, Megamind. Then they all eat cake by the ocean. The end.
