The King was watching a movie where this crazy cat lady buys a shotgun and uses it to kill intruders. So the king bough a shotgun and dud the same. When Squadala Man dropped by, the King shot him. He liked the feel of killing someone, so he volunteered to execute Duke Onkled. Then he became blood thirsty. He killed Morshu, Link, and Zelda, then he killed himself.
