Kaiju

The Kaiju are an ancient race of gigantic monsters that vary wildly in many aspects. They were all born 3 billion years ago, except Mothra, who is somehow even older. The most recognizable kaiju is the now-dead Godzilla.

What Classifies a Kaiju?

There are two factors that classify whether a creature is a kaiju or not:

1. It must be big. And we do mean big. These beast are some of the largest to ever live, and grow truly massive.
2. Kaiju have an odd aura surrounding them known as the "Serizawa Effect". This effect makes sure that size indeed does matter. If something attempts to hurt a kaiju, but is smaller, they are unable to hurt it in any way. And since kaiju grow so big, not much can bypass this aura. The only guys that can hurt a kaiju are other kaiju (self-explanatory), superweapons, and certain creatures beyond Undefeatable/infinite power (they can, to a certain point, ignore the aura).

Once a kaiju is confirmed, it can be classified based on categories. Most Kaiju sharing the TOHO gene rank in the mid-to-high tiers, while those that have appeared more recently are typically slightly weaker. You know why if you go to high school, since you always feel dead inside when you wake up.

Some kaiju can exceed this, but this is exceedingly rare.

Origins

The first kaiju, Godzilla, was born 4.5 billion years ago, around the same time as the UnWorld. It is thought that Godzilla represents UnEarth because of this. A while after, 3 billion years ago, Godzilla got in a fight with an unknown entity, thought to be King Fire Slime, and was severely injured. The aura from Godzilla leaked out at this point, and over the next several billion years created dozens of kaiju, possibly upwards of a hundred. Almost immediately they shriveled up, frozen in ice. Godzilla himself fell asleep, remaining dormant for a long time. When the kaiju finally awakened, they were bursting with power, more than ever before.
