Gustave “Gus” Finch (also known as “Mohawk” or “The Kid”) is a teenage revolutionary on planet Round Star who currently lives in the capital city of Detroit 2. He’s had hit attempts on him, he was once executed, he drinks on the regular, and even hates Pop’n Music (which is illegal here, you know). All of this, despite the fact he’s just 13 years old. Gus is truly a rebel, and there’s no disputing that. The main reason why he does all of this is to show the others that the laws on Round Star are stupid and that they shouldn’t have to follow them.
Gus is often seen as EPIC among the Round Starians, but was once public enemy number-one in the eyes of Goku-Sotsu-Kun and his then-girlfriend Callie. It was to the point where the two tied him to Detroit 2’s only lightning rod as a form of torture/execution and forced the law-abiding citizens to watch. However, this went VERY wrong.
Instead of electrocuting Gus and making him an example for other rebels like they intended. The Ministry of DIE Affairs stepped in, very much ticked off at GSK and Callie. Why? Because, according to Bezel and Judgment Boy Gold, this whole situation violated the two pillars of “WHEN DIE?” and “WHY DIE?”, since Gus was literally a child and that he was being killed for petty stuff. Apparently, it was also a violation of “HOW DIE?” since they found Gus’s execution extremely cruel and unusual, but The Mythbusters thought it was really cool and didn’t do squat about it. GSK and Callie attempted to sic some of their guards on the MoDA, but a good chunk of their armarda were mauled by Smile Dog before they could properly attack. They all soon retreated once Adam Savage pulled out a molotov he stole from someone and threw it at them. In the rush, Nightmarionne and The Swedish Reaper had been untying Gus in secret and told him to run, get as far away as he could, all out of the dictator’s sight. Soon after, GSK just forgot about it (he was busy breaking up with Callie) and left Round Star, heading for the UnWorld instead.
Fun Fact: This is why GSK didn’t recognize Nightmarionne amongst the other Goths.
After the attempt on his life, Gus kept a low profile for a few weeks. He had cooped himself up in an apartment with a weird hikikomori girl, who thankfully let him stay at her place until all the buzz about him died down. They’d play her NES together, they’d dare each other to drink Bone Hurting Juice, and they’d have pillow fights. Y’know, standard teen stuff. He even learned how to travel through her dreams after reading a book called “Basic Braining: A Guide to Psychonautics”. To this day, him and the girl still hang out sometimes.
Nowadays, Gus is much more openly punk, due to GSK’s “vacation” to the UnWorld and his army of guards going on strike. He continues to go to underground raves, he shows off his new-fangled psychic powers to his allies, and spreads the word of punk among the Round Starians. Heck, he’s even got some planetary pride, he recently died his mohawk magenta-ish pink (same color as GJ 504b). He’s currently learning how to play the electric guitar and find himself behind the wheel of a large automobile. Other than that, IDK, I think he’s a pretty cool guy.
