The shame's box art.

Grand Theft Sesame Street is a shame for the Nintendo 65. It stars Elmo and his partner in crime, Grover. It had a sequel named Grand Theft Sesame Street 2: Elmo's Return. The game is rated M, but it is rated 12+ in Hong Kong for Blood, Language, and Cartoon Violence.

Plot

One day in Sesame Street Elmo is playing with Grover. Elmo gets hit by thunder and he suddenly turns bad. He finds a gun on the ground and uses it to kill a Toad. Ernie sees this and gets shot down as well. Elmo then goes on a rampage.

Gameplay

Throught the game, you must shoot down people and not get caught or shot down. Usually you have a specific person to kill in each level. For health you must collect Cookies and there's usually Jigsaw Pieces to find. If you find enough Jigsaw pieces by the end of the game, you can play a special level where Mario and Luigi are in Vice City

Bosses

  • Level 1: Big Bird
  • Level 2: Giant Goomba
  • Level 3: Bowser Jr.
  • Level 4: E.F.M.M.B. (Evil Flying Magical Mustard Bottle)
  • Level 5: Grover
  • Level 6: The King
  • Level 7: George W. Bush
  • Level 8: Bowser
  • Level 9: Eviler Bowser
  • Level 10: Super Evil Bonus Level (If you found all Jigsaw Pieces to unlock this creepy gate sitting on a floating island)- The Math Book of Evil (true final boss)

Development

This game was directed by Wario and written by Waluigi. Wario said working on this game was really fun. Waluigi said he hated working on it. Peach produced it and she hated the game as well.

Lawsuit

This game was sued by Grand Theft Auto. They said "They took many thing from their game and put it in this one." Wario said, "Whatever did you mean?" this game was fined MK$129.24 ($129,240) and a small soda from 7-Eleven.

Trivia

  • The jigsaw puzzles form a picture that shows Cookie Monster eating a oatmeal raisin cookie, but he hates raisins for no reason.
  • BOO! had the same plot of this shame.
  • CD-i Ganon was originally going to be the true final boss (who used "DIE!" to attack the player), but was replaced by The Math Book of Evil to make the game more challenging.
