Clocks are devices ostensibly invented so that people can keep track of their time. Little do they know they were invented by a group of Dig-Its who wanted to enhance their exertion relating to mesmerism, and thus invented the concept of time in order to track down people. The clock is thus used as a method of hypnosis, as they can be seen in many places, from Squidward Community College buildings to schools, in order to stalk people and keep large amounts of victims unaware of their genuine surroundings. Clocks can also be placed in bathrooms, which means they can watch you whenever you're on the toilet, so you seriously better watch out. Very few individuals who discovered the truth behind the clock proceeded to smash every clock in their house with a sledgehammer. Clocks may have also been invented due to people's likelihood of being late, as nobody really remembers to check the time while they're revelling their luxury.
Tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock TikTok tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock. That is what the hypnotic noise of a clock sounds like.
A clock can be used to trick people into going about their day in a certain place, since they believe that the time it's set to is correct. It should be noted, however, that the reason why clocks keep a constant track of time is due to the fact that the Dig-Its supposedly invented them in order to hypnotize people. Also, because of their ability to track everything that goes on within a certain time frame, clocks are used by Dig-Its as a weapon. They're mainly used in the UnSchool, in order to monitor students at all times, and are also commonly used by Dig-Its to spy on the UnSchool's teachers.
