Speak of the devil
Beastie is an imp who is the mascot of some operating system that only Linux users know about (and it's not even Linux! WTH?!). He had some sort of relationship to Tux but we're not sure what it is. They were friends I guess. I guess they're both funny-looking mascots. They're also both free to use, whatever that means. He kind of looks like Knuckles with his redness and green shoes.
Why is he a devil? We don't know. Maybe he rules over operating system Hell, or he's the king of something that sounds like the operating system he's the mascot of. Evidence to suggest this might be his big feet. Get da hint?
He was killed by Bill Gates in the Linux-Windows war. Tux mourned his death, and then PWNed the Bill Gates Robot in his honor. Perhaps he will be revived one day. For now, however, he's dead, but Nobody cares about him or his operating system.
Career in cartoons:[]
Once cartoons gained colors, Joey Drew studios decided to make them their cartoon mascot to replace Bendy. They even made edited versions of all the Bendy cartoons with "ndy" crossed out, and "astie" inserted (in case You don't understand, both of them have names beginning with "be"). During this period, Tux was also added to some of their cartoons because why not? Eventually people realized the difference, and the studio shut down.
