Barney Rubble is a guy that exists with Fred Flintstones in the Flintstone and Jetson's world. He is a sidekick of Fred Flintstone and is a neighbor, however he sometimes gets the pair in a mess.
He also appeared in ads with Fred and others via dopplegangers in the real world in TV land (really a bunch of electrodes pieced together by animators and technicians and voice actors), where Barney attempts to steal Fred's cereal.
His wife is Betty Rubble, and they adopted a son named Bam-Bam, who was feral and has super strength and likes to carry a club.
