Trailer

B Movie is an animated film released in 2007, and made by NightmareWorks Animation within a very low budget, hence its poor quality. The film is about a bee named Barry dating with a human named Vanessa.

Plot[]

This happens in an UnWorld where bees secretly have civilization and are able to communicate with humans. The humans need bees to sell honey and earn money, so the two species develop strong ties between each other.

One day in New York City, while Barry, the bee is working hard to produce honey, an incoming tennis ball from nowhere hits Barry causing him to stick to it and hit a window. The window belongs to a florist named Vanessa, who was about to release Barry back to the wild when she found out that bees, contrary to popular belief, have the ability to communicate with humans because humans are just stupid.

Barry later discovers that humans eat food that is originally supposed to be only for bees, so he flies back to the hive where he tells other bees about this. Therefore the bees then stop working and become fatter and lazier over time.

Weeks have passed. There turns to be a mass extinction of flowers. The last of the flowers around the UnWorld are being transported to somewhere near Didneyland, where they are made a display to flower lovers. Barry and Vanessa travel there to say goodbye to the flowers. Barry also calls the bees in his hive to join them, but since they refuse as they have become too fat and lazy to fly, Barry calls Vanessa to put the hive into a crate instead before the trip.

When Vanessa and the bees arrive at wherever the last of the flowers have been translocated, Barry and the swarm re-emerge from their hive and unfold their mission to save the UnWorld's last flowers. However, as most of the bees have become too fat to fly, most of them fail to pollunate the flowers. Barry, as the thinnest out of the swarm, was still able to fly and so successfully pollunates the flowers, so Vanessa manages to steal some of the flowers back to New York. Upon seeing this, Barry stings her and DIEs, because when a bee stings someone, it normally DIEs.

Barry's funeral is being held in the hive, which has somehow been transported back to New York. Barry's legacy remains to this day, and continues to inspire beekind to always work hard and never be lazy. This is why we always say "busy bees".

Reception[]

This movie did not get a P-Rank. By most movie reviewers, the film is described to be "mediocre", "sucklish" and "cheaply worked". Some also explain the reason:

  • "I can't believe that the protagonist DIEs in the end!!!"
  • "Why there is such a bad ending (and climax)?"
  • "I really want to throw up after seeing this!"
  • etc.
