WHAT DA DOG DOIN'
Animals are creatures that are usually furry, feathery, or skin-covered. They are sort of like a species, but more of a general name for all creatures or living organisms that aren't super tiny, like bacteria. Many different types of animals exist, like dogs, cats, humans, etc. There are millions of different types of animals, and don't even get me started on how many animals are in the whole UnWorld. Or the entire UnUniverse! (Though usually space animals are just called aliens)
Most animals are only useful to us because we can eat them, though if you try to eat someone's cat they usually will not like that because some animals have "pet" status (see below). Most people don't like you eating their food in general, so this checks out. Horses are the most controversial animal to eat, so beware of that.

Pets[]
Pets are a cool type of animal (usually a dog, cat, or goldfish) that you can obtain from a pet store, and are the result of them being trained/bred to live with humans. People don't usually eat these. If you want a pet, then you'll have to take care of it and feed it, as well as cleaning up its poop. Usually cats just lie around all day and eat lasagna while abusing their owner. Dogs are pretty fun pets, and you have to walk them and feed them and they are lots of fun to take care of. If you have a goldfish then all you have to do is feed it and clean out its bowl.
